作品の中心に描かれているのは、筑後川昇開橋
福岡県大川市と佐賀市諸富町を結ぶ、歴史ある国指定重要文化財、機械遺産です。
1935年旧国鉄佐賀線の鉄橋として、筑後川河口に架設された全長507mにもおよぶ東洋一の可動式鉄橋で、筑後川をまたぎ、福岡県大川市と佐賀市諸富町をつないでいます。
佐賀線廃線にもかかわらず、地元では橋存続の要望が強く、1996年（平成8年）に遊歩道として復活、現在でも、大川市と諸富町のシンボル的存在です。
この逸話からも、この風景が、いかに、地元の人たちにとって、大切なものなのか、うかがい知ることができます。

この作品は、作者が、佐賀鳥栖での企画展「私的日本集 第２回 筑紫 鳥栖」展で発表したものです。
作者にとっては、油絵の原点回帰的な作品で、古典的な技法、簡潔で大胆な構図により、筑後川の雄大さと、昇開橋がより印象的になっています。
また、空に、龍と鳳凰を象った雲を描き、「龍鳳祥瑞」といった縁起のよい象意を表すことで、地域の幸せと発展の思いを込めた作品です。

At the center of the work is the Chikugo River Elevated Bridge.
It is a historic country designated important cultural property, a mechanical heritage that connects Okawa-city of Fukuoka Prefecture and Morodomi-cho of Saga Prefecture .
In 1935, as the iron bridge of the former Soka Railway Saga Line, it is a mobile type iron bridge that extends to 507 meters in total along the Chikugo River estuary, crossing the Chikugo River, connecting Okawa-city, Fukuoka and Morodomi-cho, Saga.
In spite of the Saga Line abolished line, desperation for the survival of the bridge was strong in the local area, and it was revived as a promenade in 1996, even now it is a symbolic existence of Okawa-city and Morodomi-cho.
From this anecdote, you can see how this scenery is important to local people.

This work was published by the author at the exhibition "Private Japan Collection 2nd story 'Chikushi Tosu'" at Tosu-city,Saga.
For the author, it is a recursive work of oil painting, classical technique, a concise and bold composition, the magnificence of the Chikugo River and the rising bridge become more impressive.
In addition, I draw clouds that symbolized the dragon and the phoenix in the sky, expressing the auspicious imagination such as "Ryuu Feng Rui", the work of the region's happiness and development.
